Due to the rain and warm temperatures the last night of Wednesday Night skiing at Hyland Hills has been canceled.

Hyland Hills is reporting very poor conditions and therefore canceling because of safety reasons.

Thank you for an outstanding year!

Courage Center Ski and Snowboard Mid-Season Updates

Dear Courage Center Ski and Snowboard Participants and Volunteers,

Despite our snowless winter the Courage Center program is all smiles on program nights. Keep up the good work! Just a few quick updates on the season, to make sure everyone continues to run smoothly.

No Programming Presidents Day Weekend
As planned Courage Center Ski and Snowboard programming will NOT be meeting on February 19th and 20th for Presidents Day Weekend.
Remember to continue reporting absences on the Ski Hotline 763-520-0495 (I apologize for the misprint in the experience booklet).

Moonlight Madness
You’ve been hearing about it for weeks, on program days, on the radio, Facebook, the web…and now it’s finally here! The Concert Event of the Winter. If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet do it now! Visit www.CourageCenter.org/moonlightmadness to find out show times or to purchase your tickets tonight and eliminate any wait time tomorrow. Don’t miss out!

Ski A Thon
Don’t forget to visit the Ski A Thon headquarters page at www.CourageCenter.org/skiathon to create your personal fundraising page. Whether or not your donors choose to make their donations online, or the ‘old-reliable’ way by creating an account online you ensure that your donations are tracked back to you making you eligible for the sweet prizes.

Donations from the community can help in a variety of ways; to keep registration fees lower, purchase new equipment, ensure quality instructor trainings, and lots more. Ski A Thon runs and festivities will be made during your regularly scheduled program day either Sunday February 26th, Monday February 27th or Wednesday February 28th.

End of the Year Banquet
Save the date and join us for the end of the year banquet on April 1st, 2012. Keep an eye out for an official invitation, but EVERYONE is invited (friends, family, neighbors, NO Pets please).

Stay safe out there,
Nels

Season Starts Tonight! At Comedy for Courage

Its early November, there is a Low Pressure Front moving in with snow from the Rockies and Courage Center is busy moving into Rick Bronson’s House of Comedy for the First Ever Comedy for Courage.  Coincidence?  Maybe…. but still join us TONIGHT, November 7th at 7:00 pm, to laugh in the face of winter, to celebrate the coming snow season, and kick off the Courage Center Ski and Snowboard program.

Wild “Bill” Bauer, Tim Bedore, and Dave Mordal are headlining the event.

Tickets are available at the door or secure your spot online right now by visiting www.couragecenter.org/comedy  for tickets.

We’re Going to Jackson…

Well maybe you are.  A condo was generously donated to the program for the week of March 20-27 and we are starting the bidding at 475.00.   Jackson has had great snow all season, and the skiing is epic.  So take the week off and head West in support of your favorite adaptive ski program.

Stay tuned for weather/program related information.

Wednesday Mar. 2, Programming is On!

Hey Everyone,

Just to confirm program is on for tonight Wednesday, March 2. Remember to bring in your ski-a-thon pledge sheets, and sign up for next weeks potluck.

Also, please remember to call the ski hotline if you are unable to attend. 763-520-0495.

Skiing is a Go! Monday, February 21st

Hey Everyone,

I know its pretty snowy out, but with just a few more weeks to the season that is all the more reason to get out there and enjoy it.

I understand that road conditions may vary depending on where you are traveling from so please use your best judgment when traveling to Hyland Hills and give yourself plenty of time to arrive safely.

If you are unable to make it or are expecting to arrive late please leave a message with your name, and discipline and a number to be reached at.  See you on the hill.  Remember the Ski hotline number is 763-520-0495.

Sunday, February 20th

Sunday programming at Hyland Hills and Trollhaugen is meeting as planned.  There is a possibility of some rather inclement weather with high winds and snow moving through the area. Please use your best judgement, and give yourself plenty of time to arrive safely at your specific site.  As always, if you are unable to make it please leave a message with your name, discipline, and site on the hot line 763-520-0480 so that your Site Coordinator can make the necessary adjustments.

As a reminder Courage Center programming is not being held at Welch Village as requested by Welch Village Management, due to the expected high volume of President’s Day Weekend.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make the 2nd Annual Moonlight Madness Event a success.  It was a great time, and we had record crowds (1,205 pre-sold tickets!) all in support of this great program. More to follow on this soon.

Monday, February 14th: We are a GO!

Happy Valentines Day Everyone,!

Of course we are skiing.  Its warm, its Valentines Day, and we have SNOW!  I’ll see you all out there.  Stay tuned for a special surprise tonight as well.
